German Songs of the Past Two Weeks

I’m a terrible blog hostess. I swear, actual content will return eventually… probably (problem is, I’ve started actually having stuff to do; once I get used to it, things’ll probably start appearing). But for now, just be patient and read whatever else you can find on the internet.

German Song of the Week

I know I’ve been absolutely horrible about actual posts that have a point. I’ll get back around to it eventually; things have just been busy lately, what with reading Lord of the Rings, summer school, Tang Soo Do, my car breaking yesterday, and reactivating my WoW account yesterday (a friend sort of made me; plus I do still kind of need to get to 80… looking to switch back to my old realm with people I know so it’s not so darn boring to do so).

Anyways, watching this week’s video is an absolute must. It’s funny (despite the fact that these Germans have no clue how guns work), and you really won’t enjoy the song unless you do. It’s worth it; trust me.

German Song of the Day

Today, I give in and start posting Seeed music. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure I’ve already shown y’all Dickes B, which is about the safest one I could find (also, hats.). Thus, I’ll do my best to avoid the one that seems to quite possibly be the German version of Ms. New Booty (I’d recommend just reducing the window if not for the hilariously wrong lyrics) for as long as I can (though likely not entirely). So here’s what’s probably the next safest (maybe… I really oughta translate some of these lyrics just to make sure (can’t for the life of me find them on the internet):

So, as for my recent lack of anything substantial here, sorry about that. I’ve actually kind of had stuff to do lately, so there, I finally have an actual excuse. Perhaps some good topic will enter my mind soon, but not currently. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I intend to take a day of rest/reading Lord of the Rings today.

Okay, so some of it is in Latin. So sue me. I can’t help it if they chose to be a German Catholic Techno band instead of just plain German Techno.

Though it has helped me an awful lot with random latin phrases and names of philosophical works and whatnot. Thanks, E Nomine and that random Youtube commenter who translated the latin in the song that one time!

German Song of the Week

…early this time, because I’m leaving for the mountains tomorrow morning. And apparently, my grandma’s coming along. Yaaaaaaay. And next week’s will be back to Saturday (because we were totally on a schedule with the one video before this).

The following is a techno version of a children’s rhyme or something. A group of students in my class performed their own version of it for a “German Night” we and the nearby college had (or something). I saw a video of it, and it was actually pretty impressive. But this one is the original techno version–the one with my classmates is on a facebook account I can’t see.

Er… some cussing, if that matters to anyone.

German Song of the Week

Ironically, I’m not quite confident enough in my knowledge of the language to attempt the title in German.

So, I have to reload tons of ammo tonight so my dad can switch the reloader back to .45, and it’s thereby not looking too likely that I’ll be able to put up a new section of Justice by the end of the weekend (I know, you’re heartbroken. Try not to cry). Thus, I am beginning my summer German-rememberace technique today!
